RosettaChat Developer Docs

RosettaChat is a translation-native support and messaging layer. Visitors write in their own language; your team answers in theirs; every message that crosses the language boundary is translated automatically — in the widget, over the API, and across webhooks.

There are two ways in, and you can use both:

Embed the widget

Paste one <script> tag and get a multilingual live-chat widget on your site. Theme it, sign in your logged-in visitors, and run replies from the Support inbox. Start with the Widget quickstart.

Integrate over webhooks

Post messages into a channel from your systems and receive events back out — both directions, both translated. See Webhooks.

Call the API

A full REST surface for conversations, messages, and configuration. Browse the API Reference.

Test safely

Develop against a sandbox key whose conversations never touch your usage or inbox. See Sandbox & Testing.

Note

These docs cover shipped behavior only. The API reference is generated from the live OpenAPI spec, so it always matches what the server actually accepts.
